Welcome to Eval CV. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy will inform you as to how we look after your personal data when you visit our website and tell you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.

Data Processing Transparency

Your privacy is our priority. When you upload your resume for analysis through our API endpoint, the document is processed in real-time by our AI-powered parsing engine to extract insights, generate scores, and create personalized interview questions. Importantly, the raw resume data and the extracted personal information are never permanently stored in our database. Your sensitive information—such as personal details, work history, and contact information—passes through our system solely for processing purposes and is immediately discarded after analysis. During form submission, you have the option to choose whether to save your analysis results (scores and insights) for future reference and job matching with hiring partners. If you do not enable this option, no analysis data is retained, ensuring maximum privacy and security.

2. The Data We Collect and Store

We may collect, use, and store different kinds of personal data about you which we have grouped together as follows:

  • Identity Data: includes first name, last name, username or similar identifier for your account.
  • Account Contact Data: includes your account email address used for authentication and communication.
  • Technical Data: includes internet protocol (IP) address, your login data, browser type and version.
  • Analysis Results (Optional): You have full control over whether your CV analysis data is stored. When submitting your CV for analysis, you can choose to enable this option to save your CV scores, generated interview questions, and professional insights, which allows you to share your profile with our hiring partners and be considered for job opportunities. Alternatively, you can choose to disable this option during submission, and your analysis results will not be saved or shared with any third parties.
  • Usage Data: includes information about how you use our website, products and services.
  • Transaction Data: includes payment records and subscription information (processed securely via Stripe).

Note: As stated above, raw resume files and extracted personal information (such as addresses, phone numbers, or detailed work history from your CV) are processed but not stored in our database.

3. How We Use Your Data

We will only use your personal data when the law allows us to. Most commonly, we will use your personal data in the following circumstances:

  • Service Delivery: To parse your resume, score your profile, and generate interview questions using AI technologies.
  • Account Management: To manage your registration as a user.
  • Performance of Contract: To process and deliver your order including managing payments, fees and charges.
  • Job Matching (Optional - With Your Consent): If you enable the feature, to share your professional profile and analysis results with our hiring partners to connect you with relevant job opportunities.
  • Improvement: To use data analytics to improve our website, products/services, marketing, customer relationships and experiences.

4. Third-Party Services

We share data with specific third-party providers to deliver our services:

  • Stripe (Payments): All payment processing is handled securely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details.
  • AWS (Hosting): Our infrastructure is hosted on Amazon Web Services.
  • Hiring Partners (Optional - Opt-in Only): When submitting your CV for analysis, you can choose to enable the “Share with Hiring Partners” option. If enabled, your CV analysis results (scores, insights, and professional profile) may be shared with our vetted hiring partners to match you with relevant job opportunities. This sharing only occurs with your express consent during form submission. If you choose not to enable this option, no analysis data is shared with any hiring partners or external recruiters.

5. Data Retention

We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of meeting any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

Analysis Results: If you choose to enable the storage of your CV analysis results during form submission, this data will be retained until you request deletion. You can request deletion of your analysis data by contacting us at support@evalcv.com. If you do not enable this option during submission, no analysis results are stored.

Account Data: Your account information (username, email, transaction history) will be retained as long as your account remains active. You can request full account deletion at any time by contacting us.

6. Your Legal Rights

Under certain circumstances, you have rights under data protection laws in relation to your personal data, including the right to request access, correction, erasure, restriction, transfer, or to object to processing.
